How I Style • Plain White Tees

Hi everyone!

I love doing How I Style posts, especially because such posts are a great excuse to spend even more time on Polyvore in order to combine multiple outfits using a common clothing piece. I recently asked on Facebook for some suggestions on what I should style next, and one of you suggested plain white t-shirts. I love plain tees, especially white ones, since you can dress them down or up (to a certain extent) depending on the event/occasion. I came up with 3 sets, and as usual, I just wish I can close my eyes and immediately find all these pieces in my closet, miraculously.

This outfit is quite laid-back, and is definitely something I would wear in Spring, or maybe even during some not-so-hot Summer days. I am currently loving the light coloured/distressed/boyfriend/rolled-up jeans trend, and have therefore decided to team up a plain white tee with this gorgeous ZARA boyfriend jeans. To further enhance the casualness of this outfit, I would definitely wear these pieces with a pair of white Converse. Since the outfit is fairly plain and simple, I opted to accessorise with a silver chunky chain necklace and a neon pink mini clear clutch. I would personally prefer a colour-less clutch, however, if you want to add a pop of colour to the outfit, this pink clutch would be perfect!

As you can immediately tell, this outfit is very 90s inspired. Simply team a plain white tee with your favourite denim dungarees to achieve that 90s kids look. There are plenty of shops selling dungarees at the moment, so you will definitely find your perfect pair! For accessories, I chose a silver Casio watch and thin silver rings, all from ASOS. To finish off the look, I teamed this outfit with a pair of white chunky heeled sandals, which are very 90s but more wearable than jellies in my opinion.

Plain white tees can also be dressed up for a shopping trip, lunch/dinner date, or for any other event actually. To achieve this look, simply team a plain white tee with a pair of black skinny jeans. I opted for the Topshop Jamie jeans with a ripped knee detail. To create a going-out look, I chose these classy black and gold ZARA heeled sandals and accessorised the outfit with a simple black and gold watch and a black hat, just to give the outfit a bit of an edge.

Which of these outfits is your favourite? How would you style plain white tees?

OOTD • Tattooed Lady

Hi everyone!

It's finally time for my first ever OOTD post! I wore this simple outfit on a laid back Sunday afternoon with the boyfriend. The spot where we took these photos was perfect and goes really well with the whole edgy feel of the dress. And speaking of the dress..how gorgeous is it's tattoo print pattern? Being handmade in the UK, it features a vintage lace collar and a handmade velvet bow, and I also received a stag pin as an optional embellishment for the bow. Needless to say, I wore the stag!

Dress*: Uncommon Nonsense // Blazer: Pull & Bear (old) // Loafers: Local shop (similar here) // Rings: ASOS

I totally recommend checking out the Uncommon Nonsense website, especially if you're into fairytale, grunge, kitsch, edgy and vintage pieces. You will surely find something you love! And I'll leave it as a surprise, but their packaging is THE BEST EVER :)

Designer vs Deal #6

Hi everyone!

The Designer vs Deal posts are always a favourite with you lovely lot, so here's another one for you - I promise, it’s a good one! In this month's post, I included some pieces that have been or are currently quite popular in the blogosphere. As usual, the majority of the dupe items are nearly exactly identical to the designer pieces, with the only difference being the price. This always amazes me!

My favourite piece from these items is definitely the Alexander Wang sandals. As seen on the likes of Rihanna during last year's X factor performance, this sandals is a classic example of why I love designer dupes. Priced at nearly $700, I can only dream of being able to afford it. Fortunately, Choies are currently stocking a nearly identical sandals. Yes!

I also love the Brian Lichtenberg Feline Meow tee, but I would never spend that much money on a t-shirt. The Ebay tee is a great dupe of it! I included the other two items - the Simone Rocha dress and the Il Branco leggings - since I saw several bloggers styling the leggings and also the Simone Rocha dupe from SheInside.

And for the millionth time, I want to stress that the aim of this post is not to tell you to avoid buying a designer piece and instead purchase it's affordable dupe, but merely to make you aware that designer dupes are available.

If there is a designer piece that you love so much but cannot afford it and want a dupe of it, get in touch with me through Facebook or Twitter, or else send me an email, and I'll include the affordable dupe in my next Designer vs Deal post!
